We are inviting teachers and educators from Germany, Poland, and Ukraine to participate in the international project “Remembrance in Dialogue,” focused on Holocaust remembrance in times of the war in Ukraine. During the project in summer and autumn 2025, participants will be trained as multipliers for remembrance work through several online and offline events. The project includes a study trip to the Ukrainian city of Ivano-Frankivsk in September 2025.

A group of 12 professionals (four participants each from Germany, Poland, and Ukraine) working in the formal and non-formal historical education sectors will be selected to participate in the project. Participants should have a professional background in Holocaust remembrance and memory politics in Germany, Poland, or Ukraine (e.g., teachers, trainers, political educators, multipliers, memory activists, and museum and memorial site employees) and experience in educational work with young people. The working language of the project is English. The deadline for the application is 1 July 2025.

The “Remembrance in Dialogue” project will explore the impact of Russia’s war of aggression on historical remembrance and educational work with young people on Nazi crimes in Europe.

The project includes the following events:

•  Online multiplier trainings in August, during which the participants will be trained as multipliers, receive inputs from experts, and discuss how the focus, methods, and content of their educational and remembrance work have changed due to the war in Ukraine.
• A three-day study trip to Ivano-Frankivsk in Ukraine in September on the city’s Jewish, Polish, and Ukrainian heritage and the local remembrance of Nazi crimes and the Holocaust with inputs from specialists and experts.
• Online remembrance workshops in November, during which experts and multipliers share their experiences with a broader audience.
• Collaboration on a methodological guide on remembrance and historical education in times of war for educators.

After completing the project, participants will receive certificates and become part of an international network of professional multipliers. Participation in the project is free, the organizers cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and meals during the event in Ivano-Frankivsk.

Запрошуємо вчителів та освітян з Німеччини, Польщі та України взяти участь у міжнародному проєкті «Пам’ять у діалозі», що зосереджується на збереженні пам’яті про Голокост в умовах війни в Україні. У рамках програми влітку та восени 2025 року учасники пройдуть підготовку для роботи з історичною та культурною пам’яттю через низку онлайн- та офлайн-заходів. Програма передбачає навчальну поїздку до Івано-Франківська в Україні у вересні 2025 року. 

Буде відібрано групу з 12 фахівців, які працюють у сфері формальної та неформальної історичної освіти у Німеччині, Польщі та Україні (по 4 учасники з кожної країни). Учасники мають мати професійний досвід у сфері збереження пам’яті про Голокост та політики пам’яті в цих країнах (наприклад, вчителі, тренери, політичні освітяни, мультиплікатори, активісти у сфері пам’яті, працівники музеїв та меморіальних установ) і досвід освітньої роботи з молоддю та молодими дорослими. 

Проєкт «Пам’ять у діалозі» досліджуватиме вплив російської агресії на історичну пам’ять і освітню роботу з молоддю щодо нацистських злочинів у Європі. 

Програма включає такі заходи: 

• Онлайн-тренінги у липні та серпні, під час яких учасники отримають підготовку як мультиплікатори та обговорять, як війна в Україні змінила фокус, методи та зміст їхньої освітньої та меморіальної роботи. 
• Навчальна поїздка до Івано-Франківська у вересні, присвячена єврейській, польській та українській спадщині міста та місцевій пам’яті про нацистські злочини та Голокост, за участю експертів та спеціалістів. 
• Онлайн-воркшопи про пам’ять у листопаді, де експерти та мультиплікатори ділитимуться досвідом зі ширшою аудиторією. 
• Спільна робота над методичним посібником для освітян щодо роботи з пам’яттю та історичною освітою в умовах війни. 

Робоча мова програми – англійська. Після завершення програми учасники отримають сертифікати та стануть частиною міжнародної мережі професійних мультиплікаторів. Дедлайн подачі заявок – 1 липня 2025 року. 

Участь в програмі безкоштовна, організатори покривають витрати на проїзд, проживання та харчування під час події в Івано-Франківську.
