The presentation of the “Places of Transition” exhibition and the panel discussion

Thank you to everyone who joined us at “Withered landscapes? Eastern European perspectives on the transformation of public space after 1989”!

The presentation of the “Places of Transition” exhibition and the panel discussion brought together an engaged audience and insightful speakers. Together, we delved into the transformations of urban and social spaces across Eastern Europe and East Germany since 1989, reflecting on their impact on today’s social cohesion and democratic challenges.

A big thank you to our incredible panelists:
❇️ Sandra Gauciute (Lithuania)
❇️ Dr. Marcin Szymański (Poland)
❇️ Dr. Judith Enders (Germany)

❇️Kateryna Ray (Ukraine)
❇️ Nora Korte (Moderator, Transition Dialogue Lead)

And, of course, a heartfelt thanks to our partners: Open Lithuania Foundation (Vilnius), Sofia Platform Foundation (Sofia), Zaklada Znanje Na Delu (Zagreb), Stowarzyszenie 61 (Warsaw), Congress of Culture Activists (Kyiv), Perspektive³ e.V. (Berlin) and the Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung (bpb) for making this event possible.
