Interview with Hanna Lobach

Hanna Lobach is a Belarusian migrant in Poland. In 2020, Lukashenka’s regime began persecuting her for her active civil position and participation in peaceful protests in Belarus. Realizing she couldn’t protect herself and her two children, she left her comfortable life in Minsk and moved to Warsaw. These challenges brought her many problems on the basic level – finding a work, an apartment for her family, navigating legal issues without knowing the local language and having no support in a new city. Nevertheless, Hanna believes that the most important thing is to raise her children in peace and freedom.

This interview was made as part of the project Femmoz – Empwerment for women in and from Belarus.
