Georgia Talk: Democracy & Resistance

For the past 85 days, the people of Georgia have been protesting against their government’s decision to stall EU integration. These peaceful demonstrations have been met with police brutality, mass arrests of political activists, and new laws restricting civil liberties.

On February 26th at 18:00, Austausch warmly invites you to Georgia Talk—a panel discussion followed by an informal gathering with Georgian food and wine. Together with our esteemed guests, we will analyze the current crisis, discuss potential solutions, and explore how civil society in Germany and beyond can support Georgian demonstrators in their fight for democracy and freedom.

Speakers:

❇️Giorgi Meladze – Associate Professor, Ilia State University School of Law

❇️Giorgi Kakabadze – Co-Founder, GZA Europe

❇️Nino Bidzinashvili – Journalist
