Public viewing “Displaced by war”

INKuLtur invite you to a special viewing on 01.11.2024 as part of the project “Barrier-Free Safety for People with Disabilities, where we will present the moving stories of people with disabilities from Ukraine. These video clips shed light on the vulnerable yet powerful journeys that many have had to experience while fleeing war and violence.

At a time when the challenges faced by people with disabilities are often overlooked, we want to make their voices heard. Together with you, we want to pay tribute to the personal fates of the protagonists and raise awareness of the special challenges they face. The event offers the opportunity not only to watch the videos, but also to talk to the protagonists. They will tell us their stories and show us how they find hope and strength despite adverse circumstances.

Our partners from Fight for Right in Ukraine will also be present to share their valuable perspective.

When: on 01.11.2024 from 4 to 6 pm CET

Where: HOTEL CONTINENTAL Art Space in Exile, Elsenstrasse 87, 12435 Berlin (The event room is on the 1st floor and accessible with an elevator. A barrier-free WC is available on the ground floor).

The event will be held primarily in Ukrainian, with interpretation into and from English. A translation into Ukrainian sign language is also provided. The screening will be followed by a get-together with catering.

If you would like to participate, please send us a short email to [email protected].

The event will be carried out in hybrid form, with the possibility to participate via Zoom. If you aren´t able to participate in person, we will send you the link for the video call.
