Polish-German Roundtable

Since 2018, the Polish-German Roundtable has taken place yearly to maintain a platform for discussions on Eastern Europe for various actors. The key priority of the dialogue is to bring closer the positions of Germany and Poland, reduce the differences between them and make them aware of common interests, overcome mutual stereotypes, and encourage German and Polish participants to think in an unconventional and innovative way.

At the 5th Polish-German Roundtable in Wojnowice in 2023, our focus was on the war in Ukraine, analysing its implications for Poland, Germany, and Europe, taking into account the most recent developments. For this purpose, experts from Ukraine have been also invited.

Key topics included exploring possibilities for international support to aid Ukraine, identifying the preconditions for sustainable peace in Europe, envisioning a new security framework, and strategizing Ukraine’s economic recovery and integration into the European Union.
